【ChinaNews】Honoring the Resilience of the Ordinary People——Mengniu Launches "Chinese Night" with IOC Endorsement

On July 27th, local time in France, initiated and hosted by Mengniu Group, the Worldwide Olympic Partner, with the support of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the gathering of various Chinese forces, the China Night celebrations was held in Paris.

IOC President Thomas Bach delivered the speech for the event: "This partnership is built on shared values in many different ways. Mengniu stands for a healthy lifestyle, great respect for the environment, and Mengniu also stands for the respect of excellence in everybody. I would like to congratulate Mengniu on this wonderful initiative to blend culture and sport."

The Vice-President of COFCO Group and Chairman of Mengniu Group, Qing Lijun said at the event. Mengniu will continue to contribute to the Olympic Games and celebrate the resilience and excellence of everyone from around the world.

The Mengniu Group CEO Gao Fei also announced that, from the Olympic Games Paris 2024 onwards, Mengniu will host the "China Night" celebrations in the host cities of future Games to honour the "excellence in everyone".

In addition to hosting the China Night event, Mengniu has launched a series of initiatives to engage fans during the Olympic Games Paris 2024, including a brand campaign featuring ambassadors Eileen Gu and Jia Ling and a promotional film by award-winning director Zhang Yimou's team.

As part of the China Night celebrations, Mengniu also presented a series of awards to recognize the remarkable stories of several athletes and everyday people who embody its brand philosophy of "Born to Excel". Among those to be honored were influencer and dancer Liao Zhi, who has inspired audiences across China since losing both of her legs in the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008.

The event provided an opportunity to promote cultural exchange during the Olympic Games, with performances by the Beijing and Paris operas, as well as traditional music from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China, where Mengniu is headquartered.
